Student Banking Cheat Sheet: Which bank account is right for you ...

** For 2020-2021, this program is NOT being held since the school has a no visitor policy due to the pandemic. It is typically held on the 2nd and 4th Tues of each month when school is in. Hopefully we are able to bring back this program next year.**

What is Student Banking?

Student Banking is a program run through Kincaid PTA with the help of SchoolSavings.com. This program is a great way to teach your child about saving money and setting savings goals!

It's so easy to get started!

  1. If your child does not already have his or her own bank account, open a checking or savings account at any bank or credit union. Youth savings accounts are free at most financial institutions.
  2. Register yourself at SchoolSavings.com by clicking Sign Up! in the upper right hand corner of the page. Upon registration, you will be logged in and may add your child(ren)’s info under the My Students tab.
  3. On the Student Banking dates listed below, your child can bring any amount of money (coins, dollar bills, or a check payable to “School Savings”) to the media center before school starts.
  4. Kincaid PTA volunteers will record the student’s deposit amount and deposit the money into a local bank that day. The child’s money is routed to his/her own bank account. Your child will receive a prize as well as a ‘receipt’ from his or her teacher the next day.
