It's November and the kick off to what we like to call Kincaid's 'Tis The Season of Giving Community Initiatives. This is the month we launch outreach drives to support others in need through our partnerships with MUST Ministries and local food pantries. It is also the month in which we as individuals acknowledge what makes us thankful and share our appreciation of others.
So as we gather with loved ones this holiday season, here are ways you can participate and support Kincaid:
- Donating to the canned food drive the second week of November.
- Showing off your baking (or buying) skills by bringing in yummy goodies for the annual staff cookie exchange - Cookie Copia on November 16.
- Purchasing a toy for a child in need during the Giving Tree Drive, November 28-December 9th.
- Volunteering to help with classroom winter parties on December 14. Kindergarten-2nd grade will hold parties from 11am-12pm. 3rd-5th grade will have theirs from 12:30-1:30pm. Look for additional details from room parents.
In what other ways are YOU thankful? Tag us on Facebook (@KincaidFoundationandPTA) and share a photo of how your family helps others in our school community.
As always, as you read through this issue of Cat Tracks check out what's coming, where help is needed and all the ways PTA and Foundation support our students, our school staff members and our diverse community.
