SUBJECT: Kincaid Cat Tracks for August 2021 - Welcome Back!

WELCOME BACK!

The new school year is here and everyone is excited to have students back in the classroom. 

Thank you to the families in attendance for Meet & Greet. A special shout out to Ms. Blake for having Sprayberry High School band members and cheerleaders on site to welcome our youngest students during the school bus ride-along portion of the morning. 

Immediately following Meet & Greet, Kincaid PTA held its first general meeting of the year. The new executive officers were introduced and the 2021 budget approved. Kincaid Foundation provided details about their mission, Family Investment Campaign and grant spending. This year's focus is rebranding to showcase PTA at Work--delivering quality activities that have an impact.

Membership in the PTA is yearly from July 1-June 30. 

We currently have over 200 members but our goal is 100% participation from the school community. We can do that with your help.

FAMILY INVESTMENT CAMPAIGN

Help us meet our goal of $20,000 to fund the PTA, teacher reimbursements and grants, and many other school-wide programs and initiatives! 

The Family Investment Campaign is one of the largest fund-raisers of the year, made possible by Kincaid families' generous donations. Any amount is appreciated. All donations go right back to the school and are tax-deductible. 

Its easy to donate: Send a check to the school along with the form that came home in your child's folder, or go online to: www.kincaidfoundation.org/donate

New this year...It’s easier than ever to DOUBLE THE IMPACT OF YOUR DONATION! 

How to do it:

  1. When you donate online, type your company’s name into the box provided. 

  2. If your employer offers a matching program, the website will take you directly to your company’s matching forms and will assist you with the steps needed to obtain the funds. 

  3. Fill out the forms with the information provided for you and you’ve just doubled your impact!

We Need You!

Have extra time, a specific skill or just looking to help in any way - We Want You!

Volunteers are necessary for successful PTA and Foundation sponsored activities. Committee helpers are vital for turning out quality programs with an impact. Please consider helping out this school year. 


  • We Need The Fellas! The F.B.I (Fellas Being Involved) Friday morning carpool was a joy in the past and we want to bring it back for this school year. 


  • Looking For Room Parent Representative! Show your child's teacher love by being their classroom parent rep. Help coordinate classroom events while also getting to know other Kincaid families.

Family Fun Night

Join us on Friday, August 20th for the Kincaid PTA & Foundation Welcome Back Bash from 6-8pm.

There will be food trucks to make dinner purchases, King of Pops and sweet treats to keep you cool, outdoor games and activities plus music and entertainment.

New Spirit Nights

Kincaid now has fourNEW spirit nights this year! 

  • Bad Daddy's Burger Bar Spirit Night, 5-8pm (9/23/21 and 1/20/22)
  • Sparkles Skating Center-Kennesaw Spirit Night, 4-8pm (12/10 and 5/20/22).

Our returning Spirit Night partners are Chick-Fil-A, Zaxby's, Panda Express and Papa John's.

Next Spirit Night is August 26 - Papa John's Pizza!

REFLECTIONS

Reflections is a National PTA and Georgia PTA cultural arts program to encourage artistic expression. The 2021-2022 theme is "I Will Change The World By...". 

Unleash your ARTISTIC TALENTS and imagination to create a film, song, artwork, photograph, poem, short story or dance routine. Students may submit an entry in any of these six art areas: Visual Arts Photography, Literature, Music Composition, Dance Choreography, and Film Production. Only original works of art are accepted.

The 2021-2022 Reflections Entry Form is coming soon.

SUPPORT KINCAID ELEMENTARY

BOXTOP. Download the app, look for Kincaid (Marietta) and start scanning your receipts. The app keeps track of everything and sends fund back to the school during the summer.


PUBLIX. Create/Sign-In a Publix.com account, go to My Account > My Publix Partner, and select Kincaid Elementary School PTA. Enter your number each time you checkout and Publix will make a donate to Kincaid.


AMAZON SMILE. Ready to purchase items at Amazon.com, go to Smile.Amazon.com instead. Search for Kincaid Elementary Foundation. You’ll pay the same prices for the same items, and the AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Kincaid Foundation.


KROGERS. Create/Sign-In to you Kroger.com account, go to MY Account > Community Rewards, select Kincaid Elementary School under Organization Name. Every time you use your Krogers card, it will donate to Kincaid.
