Volunteers are essential for successful PTA and Foundation sponsored events and programs. Every act of service strengthens our school community, and we have opportunities for every schedule.
Required Volunteer Training

All volunteers must complete annual training to ensure understanding of student privacy rights and volunteer responsibilities prior to serving on campus.

Volunteer Opportunities
Below are the primary areas where you can lend a hand. Many of these tasks can also be completed flexibly from home!
Help shape media layout and content shared with students and families:
- Bulletin Boards: Celebrating Cultures, Main Entrance Communication, and Cougar Pride in the cafe.
- Cougar Connection Newsletter: Monthly digital publication on family engagement.
- Website Management: Timely updates to web pages.
- Yearbook: Collect photos, assist with layout design, and distribute books.
Set up collection bins, sort donations, and drop off items to community partners:
- MUST Ministries Drives: Canned goods, hats, mittens, and socks collection.
- Giving Tree Drive: Holiday support for local families.
- Enrichment Teachers Drive: Collect and distribute needed classroom items.
Help execute family engagement events throughout the school year:
- Celebration of the Arts Day: Artist outreach, prep, and event support.
- Field Day & Welcome Back Bash: Station setup and activity support.
- International Day & Reflections: Program promotion, artwork collection, and reception support.
Organize activities that support school spirit and staff appreciation:
- Fun Fridays: Collect spirit day contributions in the morning.
- Hospitality: Staff birthday treats, special event luncheons, and Staff Appreciation Week.
- School Supply Packs: Coordinate order info and deliver packs to rooms before Meet & Greet.
- Spirit Wear: Inventory tracking, order processing, and distribution.
Take on a strategic role directly impacting students and staff:
- 5th Grade Legacy Fund: Evaluate funding proposals for class gifts.
- Teacher Grants: Review and allocate teacher grant requests twice a year.
- Legislation & Advocacy: Attend School Board and ECCC meetings to keep Kincaid informed.
Quick or flexible support options:
- Room Parent Rep: Assist classroom teachers and coordinate class communications.
- General Copying: Copy and sort materials by classroom.
- Membership Support: Assist with GA/National PTA requirements.
