It's All About The School Community!

Kincaid has a wonderful school community and it shows! The outpouring of love and support at our recent Celebration of the Arts day was amazing. Let's keep it going to the end of the school year. Happening In May
Our Teachers and Staff Are Buzzz-Worthy!

Teacher Appreciation week is coming May 2-6, 2022. We are so excited for the weeklong fun to begin. Look for information to be sent home about all the things planned. 

Tuesday and Thursday of this special week are great opportunities for students to shower their teachers with appreciation. 

Final PTA General Meeting of the School Year

Our final general PTA meeting for this school year will take place on Thursday, May 12th at 6:30pm. Details on how to attend will be shared closer to the meeting date. During this meeting we will vote on the new PTA Board slate.

Thank you for those in attendance at the March 3rd meeting. We made quorum and unanimously passed amendments to both the 2021-2022 budget and PTA bylaws. Click to view the meeting minutes.

Field Day 2022

Field Day is taking place in May and parents are needed to help with activities over two days.

Family Fun Night At Sparkles!

We are headed back to Take Over Sparkles for another Family Fun Spirit Night on Friday, May 20th. Join us from 4:00-8:00pm for skating, playing and laser tag. Bring your family and friends and help us raise $$ for our school.

Remember to purchase the Kincaid PTA Package for $15 per person.

INTERNATIONAL DAY 2022

Join us on Saturday, May 21st from 10am-1pm as your friends and neighbors celebrate traditions of countries from around the world. This fun filled family engagement event showcases our school community's diversity and its inclusive spirit.

Front Office Volunteers Needed At The Middle Schools

SIMPSON MIDDLE SCHOOL

Simpson Middle School's Front Office has shift openings for volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year! For as little as 2 hours every other week, you can peek behind the scenes, get to know the staff and teachers, learn more about Simpson’s policies and processes, and have a valid “excuse” to be at your child’s school! Responsibilities include: Greeting visitor/students entering the building, writing early dismissal and tardy passes, collecting sick notes, assisting visitors/volunteers/students with signing in and out, answering the phone, transferring phone calls to extensions, looking up student schedules, delivering the mail, and special projects. The shifts are assigned on an “every other week” basis. At the end of every month, you will receive an email reminder including the volunteer calendar for the coming month. DODGEN MIDDLE SCHOOL

Dodgen PTSA is looking for rising 6th grade parents to help fill front office volunteer positions for 2022-2023. Office volunteers greet visitors, answer phones, make deliveries throughout the building, help with student check in and check out, and assist office administration. A shift requires volunteering 2 1/2 hours every other week throughout the school year. We have 8:30-11:00am, 11:00am-1:30pm and 1:30-4:15pm slots available. We are also recruiting substitutes to fill-in for open shifts. Full training is provided. If interested, please contact Carmen or Meredith at DodgenFrontOffice@gmail.com for more information.

Volunteers Wanted for Dodgen Middle PTSA Board

Dodgen's PTSA need volunteers from among the rising sixth-grade parents for its Co-President and VP of Student Success positions for the2022-23 school year, along with several committee level positions. Girls Summer Basketball Camp at Walton HS

2 Summer Sessions Available for girls age 8-15. All skill level welcome!

June 27-June 30 and July 18-July 21

9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Cost: $160 

Price increases to $170 if registered less than 7 days before camp starts.

Campers will develop fundamental skills in a fun and competitive environment. Each Camper will receive a Camp T-shirt, Camp Ball, and Skills Evaluation form. Campers should bring sack lunch or purchase pizza, drinks, and snacks from our concession stand (CASH ONLY). Multiple session and sibling discounts available.

Summer Camp 2022 |Monday-Friday | 8am-5:30pm

STEM Camp (June 6-10): Featuring Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math activities to spark the imaginations of campers. Each day will include engaging STEM-certified science and technology experiments.

Paint Studio (June 13-17): Students will have a blast painting with acrylics, watercolor and much more as they create paintings on canvas and specialty papers while learning about color theory and different painting techniques. 

Robots VS Aliens (June 20-24): An awesome MASH-UP camp where students will explore the Cosmos and document their trip with artistic masterpieces! Additionally, this camp will introduce students to the world of robotics as they have fun constructing, racing and experimenting with their own robots. *Price includes a lab fee of $25.

Anime & Cartooning (June 27 – July 1): Learn how to use familiar geometric forms to create cartoon characters in the popular Japanese anime style as well as several other styles used to create popular graphic novels, including the popular Harry Potter series and Marvel characters. 

Video Game Lover (July 11-15):** We provide a user friendly software that allows campers to create many types of computer games, screen savers, and more. Campers will learn to create moving backgrounds, build scores and plays, design instructions and titles, create their own villains, and transition screens. As they progress in the week, campers will learn how to create games with additional platforms for more challenging gaming. Students will also create video game inspired artwork. 

Mixed Media Art Camp (July 18-22): Explore Mixed Media Art and create your own masterpiece by combining different elements and materials with techniques taught by our Fine Arts Instructors!
