Simpson Middle School's Front Office has shift openings for volunteers for the 2022-2023 school year! For as little as 2 hours every other week, you can peek behind the scenes, get to know the staff and teachers, learn more about Simpson’s policies and processes, and have a valid “excuse” to be at your child’s school! Responsibilities include: Greeting visitor/students entering the building, writing early dismissal and tardy passes, collecting sick notes, assisting visitors/volunteers/students with signing in and out, answering the phone, transferring phone calls to extensions, looking up student schedules, delivering the mail, and special projects. The shifts are assigned on an “every other week” basis. At the end of every month, you will receive an email reminder including the volunteer calendar for the coming month. If interested, please contact for more information and available shift days/times.

Dodgen PTSA is looking for rising 6th grade parents to help fill front office volunteer positions for 2022-2023. Office volunteers greet visitors, answer phones, make deliveries throughout the building, help with student check in and check out, and assist office administration. A shift requires volunteering 2 1/2 hours every other week throughout the school year. We have 8:30-11:00am, 11:00am-1:30pm and 1:30-4:15pm slots available. We are also recruiting substitutes to fill-in for open shifts. Full training is provided. If interested, please contact Carmen or Meredith at for more information.
