It's September, we've celebrated Labor Day, and students are testing--Yep! It's Official. School Is In Session EVERYWHERE. For the Kincaid community, this means we are actually halfway through our fall quarter and things continue to move full steam ahead.
All adults will notice new protocols in place when visiting or volunteering at the school this year. Thank you to everyone for doing their part in making sure our children are safe.
This year, parents:
- Must have your ID ready and visible for the camera. You will be allowed into the school without proper ID.
- Should not hold the door for others. Everyone is asked to ring the doorbell and wait until acknowledged before entering the building.
- Must read, watch the embedded video, sign and return the Volunteer Privacy Brochure before doing any activities within the classrooms or building. Your signed privacy brochure will remain on file within the front office. This extra step is to ensure that everyone is acknowledging and respecting each other's rights to privacy (students, parents, and school staff).
This is also the time of year when parents begin receiving communication from their child's room parent rep(s). Look for an email from your parent rep with ways to support the teacher and volunteer needs in the classroom. Don't forget to also check your spam folders.
As always, as you read through this issue of Cat Tracks check out what's coming, where help is needed and all the ways PTA and Foundation support our students, our school staff members and our diverse community.
Reminder - NO SCHOOL - September 25-October 1 (Fall Break)
